Challenge
BRICC, the Basic Research Innovation and Collaboration Center, works as a partnership hub that connects government, industry, and academia around advanced research and technology transition. Coordinating that work means running a steady calendar of events, managing physical collaboration spaces, and tracking who attends, all while presenting a credible public face to defense and research partners. Virginia Tech’s BRICC PIA needed a website that could clearly communicate this mission and a custom portal that could carry the operational load behind it. The existing setup did not give visitors a clear picture of the programs or give internal teams a single place to handle registration, facility booking, and attendance, so logistics were harder to coordinate than they needed to be.
